To ensure the implementation of the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 304 dated May 22, 2017 "On measures to further improve the postgraduate education system" and the Resolution of the Vice-President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 21-97 dated September 25, 2024 "Monitoring the activities of doctoral students and applicants in the system of the Academy of Sciences", a meeting of the Monitoring Commission was held on October 4, 2024, at the Institute of Mechanics and Seismic Stability of Structures named after M.T. Urazbaev of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences to assess the effectiveness of the activities of doctoral students of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years, and basic doctoral students of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years.

The monitoring was attended by the chairman of the monitoring commission, Chief Scientific Secretary of the Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor G.A. Bakhadirov, Head of the Scientific Personnel Department, Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), Senior Researcher D.J. Turaeva, Head of the Scientific Personnel Department, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Senior Researcher A. Kayumov, and Deputy Head of the Physics, Mathematics and Technical Sciences Department, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences M.V. Gafurova.

Commission member A. Kayumov emphasized that the Institute ranks second among the institutes of the Academy of Sciences in terms of scientific competence of the institute's staff and the timely defense of dissertations by doctoral students and basic doctoral students. Then, 6 doctoral students and 22 basic doctoral students presented the results of their scientific work. The commission evaluated the work of doctoral students and basic doctoral students as satisfactory.
